"Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" may take a while to return because of the 2016 Presidential Election that happened on November 8.
Their network ABC was monitoring the polls of the election on the day of the election, that's the reason why they put the show on hiatus. Fans will have to wait longer to see what happens to their favorite SHIELD agents.
Last episode, fans of the show found out the truth about Robbie Reyes aka the Ghost Rider. Robbie Reyes reconnected with his past and learned about Eli's past, Culturess reported.
Aside from that, fans were also able to get insight on the back story of Lucy. They also watched Phil Coulson protect Daisy Johnson aka Quake and Ghost Rider against Jeffrey Mace, who is hunting them down.
In the Episode 6 flashback, viewers found out that Robbie and Gabe, the paraplegic brother of Robbie, were part of the alteration of the Fifth Element Gang. It caused Robbie's life and Gabe's ability to walk.
It was implied in the show that the original Ghost Rider gave Robbie his otherworldly abilities. Eli was also revealed to be new main villain of "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD."
Fans will not be able to watch the show until November 29. A report explained that this is because ABC would want to continue airing the show consistently.
"The network would have to consider that November 22 would be right before the start of the Thanksgiving holiday. This could be very tricky," Cartermatt commented
Avid viewers of the show should also not worry about the fate of Coulson, Fitz and Robbie Reyes, despite the shocking ending of the past episode. Clark Gregg, who plays Phil Coulson on "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD," said that the intelligent viewer will probably not believe that Coulson is dead and this is probably the same for Fitz and Robbie Reyes.
