"Sword Art Online" is back with Season 3. Although a release date has yet to be announced, producers are planning to incorporate the "Alicization" Arc into the popular series.
"Sword Art Online" is a hit anime series based on the light novel written by Reki Kawahara featuring the art of Abec. The Anime series has been a huge hit and has now earned a third season that is said to feature the "Alicization" Arc as seen in the source material.
According to Yibada, "Sword Art Online" Season 3 will reveal its cast, release date, and plot next year during Yuki Kajiura's concert. The singer will be featuring soundtracks from "Sword Art Online" and this will be utilized by the producers of the anime series to announce the third season.
Yuki Kajiura's Live featuring Sword Art Online concert is scheduled on January 14, 2017, to be held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood & Highland, as per FX News Call.
As for the plot of "Sword Art Online" Season 3, it is rumored to be heavily based on the "Alicization" Arc from the light novel. As per the producer of the anime Shinichiro Kashiwada, he would like to see everyone from the SAO anime to tackle the "Aliciztion" Arc especially since it has yet to be featured in the show,
If the above is true, "Sword Art Online" Season 3 will feature Kirito struggling with his new job at an organization called "Rath". Kirito will work under the VR Crime Division Officer Kikouka Seijiro and will be testing the 4th generation FullDive Machine. The latter is also known as the "Soul Translator", and Kirito is tasked to figure out its effect on its users.
Unfortunately, the mysterious organization "Rath" is actually developing the "Soul Translator" for real world military purposes.The machine will then create a new VR world called "Underworld," a place where time flows a thousand times faster. Kirito will be trapped there for eleven years.
At present, this is all that is known about "Sword Art Online" Season 3. More details will be released during the Yuki Kajiura concert next year.
