$448 Million Powerball Jackpot Prize Split Among Three Winners

After last Wednesday's draw, three lucky ticket holders got the winning number combination right and became instant millionaires.

The winning numbers drawn were: 5, 25, 30, 58, 59 and Powerball 32.

The winners are from two states - one from Minnesota and two others reside in New Jersey. Associated Press reported that last Wednesday's jackpot was the largest ever in the history of lottery.

It was reported that the Powerball winners are sharing a jackpot that exceeded $425 million. Lottery officials also confirmed that the two winning tickets came from a Super Stop & Shop store in South Brunswick and Acme Markets store in Little Egg Harbor respectively. No information was given regarding the Minnesota winning ticket.

Many people who like to be "instant millionaires" hoarded tickets during the last couple of days leading to the draw in the hopes to change their luck. People usually wait for the jackpot to increase before they start to buy tickets. The addition of the state of California as a Powerball participant and a recent change in the game caused the jackpot to swell insanely.

Thursday, the winner from Minnesota, Paul White, 45, stepped out to claim his share of the $448 million Powerball jackpot and wasted no time in proclaiming to the world his good fortune. He says, "I'd been waiting for this my entire life."

White, a project engineer from Ham Lake, confessed that except for his mom, other family members had always given him a hard time for buying lottery tickets too often. And now that he finally won, he even had a tough time convincing some of them that he finally won.

On the other hand, the two winners from New Jersey have yet to claim their share of the jackpot as of Thursday afternoon.
