Winter is coming and it looks like Supercell, the developer of the widely popular online strategy game "Clash of Clans" is finally dusting off the old Christmas decorations. With hundreds of rumors floating around the online gaming community regarding the supposed huge December 2016 update, "Clash of Clans" players worldwide can rest assured that at least one December Update will come true.
According to a report from iTech Post, gamers are already seeing a lot of clues with regards to the "Clash of Clans" December 2016 Event. The same report suggests that Christmas trees are already spawning across the villages. This signifies a change in the season within the "Clash of Clans."
Through the years, "Clash of Clans" gamers have come to expect that the month of December will bring about exciting changes and updates to the game. However, gamers don't just expect the game environment to change. Yes, snow ala winter wonderland and Christmas trees are awesome aesthetic features. But players mostly expect that Supercell will come up with something massive during "Clash of Clans" December Events.
Case in point: The December 2015 Event update saw one of the biggest updates in "Clash of Clans" history. The December 2015 Event introduced the Town Hall 11, the new shield settings, and the personal break timer. Those were game changers that were really well-received by "Clash of Clans" players.
This year however, Supercell has been stingy with information regarding these updates. With the "Clash of Clans" fans clamouring for news, rumors and speculations have begun to spawn faster than the Christmas trees appearing in "Clash of Clans" villages.
These rumors include a new patch for the game that should have been made available last November 16, 2016. The patch was supposedly in preparation for the big December 2016 Update. Also, Supercell has yet to confirm other rumors surrounding the December 2016 update. These speculations regarding the December 2016 update focuses on the introduction of a new hero called the Red Barbarian King, a new "Goblin Vs Wizard" battle feature, the introduction of sea-themed creatures such as mermaids and pirates, and a water-based base called the shipwreck.
Although these rumors and speculations remain just that, players are hoping that "Clash of Clans" will not just provide Christmas decoration for the game. Gamers are hoping that Supercell will provide an update that can make the game more interesting and challenging. With history on their side, players are expecting big things will be in store for them this December. And as the old saying goes: "When there is smoke, there is fire," ergo, these rumors probably have legitimate origins. Gamers are probably wishing that that flame will not be doused. After all, winter has come.
