'Glee' Star, Lea Michele, Sheds Tears for Dead Co-Star, Cory Monteith. Another Young Star Dies to Drug Abuse, When Will It Stop? [VIDEO & REPORT]

At this year's Teen Choice Awards, amongst the screaming fans of One Direction, who won four awards, and the cool and stylish outfits of the celebrities, the loss of one star was confronted.

Lea Michele was wearing a necklace that had Cory's name on it, reporters say. The singer and actress recently lost boyfriend, Cory Monteith, to drug abuse. The two who met in the set of 'Glee' have been going out for a year. It was Michele's first public appearance after Monteith's death. Monteith was found lifeless on July 13 in a Vancouver hotel. The autopsy report revealed that the 31-year-old actor and singer died of heroin and alcohol overdose.

Monteith and Michele played an on-again, off-again couple in 'Glee', but had a strong relationship off-screen. Lea Michele, who played as Rachel Berry, won the hearts of millions of teens around the world and Choice TV Actress in comedy.

"I just wanted to be here today to personally thank all of you and tell everyone out there how much all of your love and support has meant to me over these very past difficult few weeks," the actress said to her fans and to those who attended the awards. Dedicating the award to Cory, she said, "For all of you out there who loved and admired Cory as much as I did, I promise that with your love we're gonna get through this together. He was very special to me and also to the world. We were very lucky to witness his incredible talent, his handsome smile and his beautiful, beautiful heart so whether you know him personally or just as Finn Hudson, Cory reached out and he became a part of all of our hearts."

The TV musical aired by FOX also won Choice TV Comedy and Michele's cast member Amber Reilly said to everyone, "Although we lost someone that we really love and that you guys love too we are very fortunate to come back to a show where we feel the love of family and Cory was like a brother to us."
