Fans of the Duggar family were relieved when the show "Counting On" was renewed on TLC. Rumors of cancellation have faced the show after Jim and Michelle Duggar were reported to be on the verge of divorce.
The show of the Duggars, "19 Kids and Counting" was shelved after Josh Duggar's molestation and cheating scandals surfaced. "Counting On" served as the replacement that focuses more on the women in the family. It was successful and was renewed for another season.
Season 2 wrapped up with Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo's wedding. Sneak peek for season 3 shows the wedding preparations of the much-talked wedding of the previous season.
The episodes did not impress the fans as per Inquisitr. They turned to the shows Facebook page to air their reactions and suggestions. Here are some of them:
Marcy Devries: "I wish these girls had more to look forward to in life, other getting married and making babies..there is a huge world out there, wish they had the chance to explore it."
Donna Flynn Proffitt: "Not so sure that I want to see another wedding planned. These are kind of dragged out and become boring. We've already seen the wedding. Love the show and would like to see more about other family members...the guys, the little ones, etc. Just saying..."
Katherine Phinnell Elam: I enjoy watching the show and seeing the family change and grow. I'm kind of disappointed that the wedding prep is being shown after the wedding was aired. It's very backward.
Lauran Gedeon: "Not a fan of how they did this at all. We've seen the wedding; we don't need to see how it was planned. Move on to her married life, and the life of Jessa and Ben & Jill and Derrick's time back the USA."
Carol Suggs: "I like watching the kids grow up & start new lives but sometimes I wonder if they are 'arranged' marriages & having children right away is one of the untold rules. Sometimes it seems like a form of a cult."
TLC needs to explore other possible topics for "Counting On." Although it started off with the idea of counting babies as the original show, it gets boring as it goes.
The show is interesting but it needs variety if the Duggars want it to stay on the air for long. After all, life is not just about marrying and popping out babies. Counting on season 3 will air in January 2017.
