Johnny Depp's ex-wife Amber Heard is in for another court battle. This time it is more shocking because if the news is true, she wrecked her own movie. It is not just an ordinary case; it is worth $10 million.
The producers of her movie, "London Fields," filed a case against the actress and the film's director Matthew Cullen for undermining the film. Wet Paint reported that Nicola Six sued the "Justice League" actress for breach of contract. She allegedly refused to shoot the movie and failed to appear at the Toronto Film Festival to promote the film.
Why did the actress sabotage her own movie? Why did the director conspire with her to jeopardize the success of the movie?
Matthew Cullen is also suing the production company because they edited the film and infused pornographic scenes. The edit was not stipulated in the contract. Amber Heard supports the claims of the director. They also cited the failure of the movie company to fund the film as agreed.
Nicola Six declared that the duo has other motives. It also claimed that the 30-year-old actress denied agreement to use nudity in order to demoralize the company.
Heard refused to do the meaty provocative roles and demands that those scenes be omitted from the script. The movie is now doubtful to hit and in a mess that may cause huge losses to Nicola Six.
The film is held at bay awaiting the decision of the court. If found guilty of sabotage causing unnecessary losses to the company, Heard must shell out $10 million plus litigation costs.
What is the truth about this conflict? Will Amber Heard and Matthew Cullen end up victorious over this case? If not, this will cause further damage in the career of both film workers.
