"Monster Hunter" Cinematic Universe has been confirmed and fans are ecstatic. With Capcom's current movie franchise "Resident Evil" coming to an end in 2017, it seems we are witnessing the birth of the next big thing.
Apparently, the team behind the popular zombie-apocalypse blockbuster films "Resident Evil" have expressed interest in the "Monster Hunter" Cinematic Universe. Capcom's hit horror game-turned-movie is coming to an end in 2017, it seems the producers are already scouting for a replacement.
In a recent interview with Deadline, the producer of "Resident Evil," Jeremy Bolt has confirmed the upcoming "Monster Hunter" films. According to Bolt, Capcom currently has all the rights for the said film and they are having difficulty with its production. It seems that the "Monster Hunter" Cinematic Universe is significantly bigger than that of "Resident Evil."
Moreover, the producers also believe that the movie adaptation of the popular game will be on par with "Star Wars" in the context of world creation. With a project this massive, Jeremy Bolt has teamed up with Paul W.S. Anderson. The latter is known as the director of the "Resident Evil" films and the tandem will make "Monster Hunter" Cinematic Universe a reality.
As reported by iTechPost, the budget allocated for "Monster Hunter" Cinematic Universe is $50 million. An amount that is definitely profitable for everyone involved, if they follow the footsteps of the "Resident Evil" franchise.
As it turns out, the successful duo has already started tracing the footsteps of the aforementioned horror films."Resident Evil" did not have any real characters and the people behind the movie had to create their own characters and story to exist in that world.
Now they are doing the same approach with the "Monster Hunter" Cinematic Universe. Recent reports claim that Anderson is already working on the first draft of the movie's script.
The timing of everything is just right, as the "Resident Evil" movies are premiering its last installment in 2017. Hence, producers are not wasting anytime working on the next big thing.
Anderson and Bolt are confident that "Monster Hunter' Cinematic Universe will be a massive success, despite the relatively smaller budget as compared to that of "Resident Evil's." A release date has yet to be announced for "Monster Hunter" Cinematic Universe, Jobs & Hire will report it as soon as we hear it. Stay tuned for more updates, until next time!
