A shooting in Walmart took place 11:15 AM Wednesday between two cashier women in the little town of Neenah, Wisconsin, leaving one fighting for her life and the other arrested.
There are only very few details that are known by the police as of now about the Walmart shooting. What they have so far is that 46-year old Justine Boyd from Greenville went into the liquor store area where the other 56-year old cashier was working and shot her in the abdomen. The name of the victim has still not been released but her condition is considered to be critical.
Police Chief Kevin Wilkinson shares, "We're still very concerned for the victim," and continues, "We're obviously all hoping and praying for the best for her." The authorities have reasons to believe that the two cashier knew each other. After the Walmart shooting, Justine was arrested while working in the store and the handgun she used was later on found as well. "Walmart employees are prohibited from carrying weapons into its stores.", the store's spokeswoman Dianna Gee indicates.
What puzzles the police of Neenah is that the town has a very low crime rate. Last year, there were only 40 violent crimes recorded, 30 of which are aggravated assault wherein one person threatened the other with a weapon but none of those cases resulted to anything graver. Since the incident, the authorities have been in contact with the 56-year old's family but continue to sort out why such a crime happened, noting that "the whole thing is really weird." The residents of Neenah too, are left puzzled as to what prompted the shooting in Walmart.
This isn't the first time something as odd as this happened in Walmart. Just a couple of months ago, a man held a knife to a 2 year old girl's neck as he talked about the Illuminati. The police was left with no choice but to shoot the man.
Justine Boyd was charged with a 'first-degree attempted murder intentional homicid'e and is currently under the custody of Winnebago County Jail.
