Refrigerator Perry is doing "fine" despitean erroneous web report. William "Refrigerator" Perry has been added to the list of people who have met their death online.
Perry's agent and Perry himself told media that he is very much alive despite the report tweeted by TigerNet.com. The tweet has been deleted since, reports say.
The football sports information director for Clemson Tim Bournet immediately sent out a tweet contradicting the story saying, "Some have reported that William Perry passed away today. This is not correct. He is fine."
The football player's agent Adam Plotkin informed the media that Perry's family received a lot of calls due to Perry's "death". Plotkin said, "I guess someone called Michael Dean and said that someone found out that someone named William Perry died, but it wasn't the Fridge."
The football player also went on the social networking site Twitter to put rumors of his death to rest. TigerNet on the other hand explained later on that they saw various reports about William Perry's death but according to them, "It appeared it was another William Perry that caused the confusion."
William Perry tweeted: "I heard about the rumors that I passed away online. #SMH. Just wanted to let everyone that they are not true and I'm doing fine. Thanks guys!"
The 6'2", 335 lbs William Perry is a former professional football player who made his name in the NFL in the 80s and 90s. Perry was a defense lineman when he was still active in football. In his early years Perry was always ridiculed due to his weight but what they didn't know is that Perry is an athlete. To silence his detractors, he joined the school's football team and while in Aiken High School, he was nose guard. His weight at the time was 295 lbs.
