One of the most anticipated upcoming television series is "Star Trek: Discovery," it is the first Star Trek series ever since Star Trek: Enterprise. The television series will revolve around events that were previously mentioned in the history of "Star Trek." The series is created by Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman for CBS All Access.
In the upcoming series, according to a news report from GamenGuide, Michelle Yeoh will be playing the role of Han Bo; Han Bo is the Lieutenant Commander of a starship called Shenzhou. Fans might not want to miss the first season of the series because Han Bo will be playing a big role in it. Speculations say that Han Bo will be known as "Number One" but this hasn't really been confirmed by the CBS TV Studios.
Michelle Yeoh is the first cast that was revealed by Nicholas Meyer, the consulting producer of the series. He revealed the fact in an interview with Comingsoon when he was asked to discuss a few things about the series. Yeoh has been a part of the industry for more than three decades. She is popularly known in the US because of Wai Lin, the role that she played in the James Bond Movie called "Tomorrow Never Dies." Back in the year 2000, she was nominated for Best Actress for the BAFTA Award for the movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon." She then reprised her role in the 2016 movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny" as Yu Shu Lien. She also played the role of "Lotus" in the movie "Marco Polo."
The story line of the "Star Trek: Discovery" starts a decade before "Star Trek" series actually happened. It will be on the rise and the fall of the USS Discovery while they go around the galaxy discovering civilizations. The first episode of the series, (which does not have a confirmed title yet) will be distributed by Netflix in over 188 countries outside of US and Canada in May 2017.
