Vienna Girardi may be known as the cunning contestant of the 'Bachelor' but she was all emotionally crushed after hearing news that her co-star Gia Allemand died in a New Orleans Hospital Wednesday after an attempted suicide Monday morning.
Allemand's hospitalization news broke last Tuesday in which the model was listed as under critical condition after 'serious medical emergency event'. A source now tells Celebuzz that Gia hanged herself. The news came too sudden for Gia's loved ones, including Girardi to whom she grew close with and stood as one of the last two contenders for Jake Pavelka.Vienna Girardi and Gia Allemand have spent a lot of time together with their beaus after the show.
An official statement was released saying, "While in her residency in New Orleans on Monday night, Ms. Allemand was found by her boyfriend, NBA Basketball Player Ryan Anderson, following an apparent suicide attempt," and continues, "Mr. Anderson contacted 911 and emergency medical crews were immediately dispatched to the scene. Tuesday, Ms. Allemand remained in the hospital unconscious in critical condition and on life support." In a follow up statement Wednesday, it says: "Due to a critical loss of brain and organ function, life support was withdrawn today," Known as a practicing Christian, she received her final rites.
Jake Pavelka has released his statement, telling: "I am in complete shock and devastated to hear the news about Gia. She was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. And a very dear friend. My heart goes out to her family during this very difficult time. We have lost angel today."
Vienna Girardi had no clue that she had 'these demons inside her'. Until now, it is still unclear as to why the 29-year old TV personality killed herself. The Examiner reports that multiple sources say that Gia attempted to kill herself because of boyfriend issues.
Following her death, boyfriend Ryan finally released a statement: "I'm deeply grateful for all the love and support we have received from family, friends, and fans. Gia was the most beautiful person I knew inside and out, and she always smiled and made everyone else around her smile," Anderson told Us Weekly.
