Authored by Ichiro Okouchi and released on October 5, 2006, "Code Geass" is one of the most top rated anime series not only in Japan but in the United States, as well. And as the hit anime celebrates its first decade, there will be a nationwide lottery for all the fans of the anime.
According to the report of News Everyday, the cost of each entry for the lottery to be conducted by "Code Geass" will be 1,000 yen. Moreover, those who would like to participate in the said lottery shall first purchase the official lottery entries from selected bookstores and hobby shops beginning the month of December of the current year.
Fans who will participate in the lottery will have a chance to win two large "Code Geass" personalized acrylic boards, two commemorative art books which feature the staff and guest artists, an acrylic square boards which features the newest character art, plus portraits which are sized A-4. An original piece of art made by Takahiro Kimura, a character designer, will be at given to the lottery's grand prize winner. Starting on the 3rd of December, the said lottery event will take place in the amusement centers all over Japan.
Sunrise, the animation studio in Japan that created the anime, has also produced a number of top rated anime series such as "Gundam", "Witch Hunter Robin", and "Cowboy Bebop". "Code Geass" is about Prince Lelouch vi Britannia, the eleventh Prince of Britannia, and the search for the mystery behind the death of his mother in the capital city of the Holy Britannian Empire. Lelouch vi Britannia's power is known to the "Geass".
According to the official website of "Code Geass", the hit anime series has been awarded as the Best TV Animation during the 12th Animation Kobe event in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture. It was also nominated in the category of "Best Media Award" in the Seiun Award way back 2009.
News Everyday reported that in the first quarter of 2017, "Code Geass" will be broadcasted in Great Britain with English dubs.
