"No Man's Sky" is finally coming out with a new update that will allow base building in the game. The developers have been listening intently to the debates and feedback following the game's launch and are focusing on improving "No Man's Sky."
According to Hello Games, they're calling the update "The Foundation Update" and should be available this week. The new update added the foundations needed for players to be able to build bases in "No Man's Sky" and also put in place the foundation for more things to come.
"In the nine weeks since then, our small team has been hard at work on development, testing and certification for the Foundation Update," Hello said. "It won't be our biggest update, but it is the start of something."
Hello also said that they have been listening intently to all the comments and feedbacks "No Man's Sky" has received following its release. The developer said the discussions have been "intense and dramatic."
But instead of replying, debating and answering the players, fans, and critics comments, Hello Games decided to focus more on providing improvements. The company said they have been quiet but are listening to what everyone was saying and working on the improvements.
CGMag reports that "No Man's Sky" has earned a negative reputation in 2016, due to the developer's failure on delivering its promise. Hello Games had created a lot of hype and provided ambitious promise about the game prior to its launch.
When the game was finally released, it didn't deliver on a lot of its promises, angering a lot of people who bought the game. So this update is a way for Hello Games to appease some of the negative backlash "No Man's Sky" has received.
However, it's important to note that Hello Games didn't really provide much detail about the update, except for the base building foundation. If the British developer really wants to make it up to the fans, they'll need to step up their game even more.
