A young Albus Dumbledore will appear on the "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them 2." Fans want either Arthur Darvill from "Doctor Who" or Jared Harris from "Sherlock Holmes: The Game Of Shadows" to play young Dumbledore.
Even though, "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling already has someone in mind to play the role. Fans can not help but give their dream actor to play the legendary wizard this is where Darvill and Harris names come up.
According to Cinema Blend, one of Darvill's dream role is to be a wizard. He explained that he made a pact with himself that when he hits a certain age he will only play wizard roles.
He explained that after 10 years and he has grown a salt and pepper beard. He would not mind playing wizard roles for the rest of his life.
Darvill stressed that if executives of the show offer him the role to play young Dumbledore. He will definitely consider taking the role.
It is not just him that fans wanted to play young Dumbledore in "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them 2 ," they want Jared Harris as well. Movie Web reported that he has not gotten a call to play the legendary wizard but he would take it if they did.
Most fans think that playing a young Dumbledore is Harris' birthright. His father Richard Harris played Dumbledore in "Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone" and "Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets."
Harris believes that Warner Bros. is really considering him for the role but he does no expect to hear from them any time soon. He also stressed that fan campaigns always go in a different direction that what fans expect.
While most fans are excited with the casting choices for the film, not everyone is happy about all the casting choices. Jobs & Hire reported that fans are not happy about casting Johnny Depp because of the domestic violence scandal that he had with his ex-wife Amber Heard.
Despite some fan objections, it seems like Depp still remains to be part of the movie. To date, there has been no update on who will play young Dumbledore in "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them 2."
