The "Harry Potter" series is indeed one of the most popular novels throughout the ages. The story is just so brilliant that even in its film adaptations, people can't stop loving it. All thanks to the brilliant author, J.K. Rowling, for authoring such incredible fantasy story.
Rowling refused to play a "Harry Potter" role
The film adaptations have all been successful starting from the "Philosopher's Stone" in 2001 until the "Deathly Hallows Part 2" in 2011. People, especially the devoted fans, have been asking if there is a chance for them to see the author itself play a role in one of the episodes. Although seeing her play as somebody in her own story would be great, the British author seems to be reluctant to the idea.
In a report by Inquisitr, Rowling was asked by the filmmakers to play the role of Harry's mom, Lily Potter. However, the author was too quick on her answer, saying "...I really am not cut out to be an actress. I would have messed it up somehow."
Rowling on "The Simpsons" and "Doctor Who"
Following J.K. Rowling's refusal, the role was instead given to Geraldine Somerville who had her first appearance in "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone." Although Rowling turned down the "Harry Potter" role, the author could be seen guesting on the hit TV show "The Simpsons," where she played the animated version of herself in the episode "The Regina Monologues," as per the report by Fandom.
The source also reported that in late 2003, Rowling was asked to collaborate for an episode of the hit British TV series, "Doctor Who." However, due to her ongoing writing of the Potter's next novel, Rowling turned down the offer, though she admitted she was pleased by the suggestion.
