Actor Jennie Garth and her former husband and fellow actor Peter Facinelli just sold their Toluca Lake home $2 million less than their original asking price.
Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli who were officially divorced in June of 2013 finally sold the home they shared together after the Toluca Lake property spent three years on the real estate market, sources say. The 8, 416-square-foot home of the ex-couple was purchased by Bill Prady of comedy series "Big Bang Theory".
While Jennie Garth and her former husband sold the home for less than their original asking price, the two still raked in $3.99 million. The home was built in the late 30s and designed by Paul Williams, a renowned architect at the time. The home features a playground where their three children Luca, Lola, and Fiona used to play, an outdoor kitchen, a pool, and a spacious garage. It also features eight baths, and six bedrooms. The home was purchased by the former couple in 2003 for $1.35 million.
Jennie Garth entered mainstream entertainment in her role in the infamous 1990s show Beverly Hills 90210. During her divorce from Facinelli, the two were amiable to each other for the sake of their three children. The two actors also decided to raise their kids together, reports say.
In a statement released by the couple in 2012 during their divorce, the two said: "While we have decided to end our marriage, we both share the same deep love and devotion to our children. We remain dedicated to raising our beautiful daughters together. We ask for privacy and respect during this time."
The breakup of Garth and Facinelli was reported in March 2012. Reports say that a third party did not cause the divorce but Facinelli's career. Facinelli rose to fame when he starred in FOX's Fastlane. He also played the character of Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the Twilight series.
