Madhouse had their lips sealed regarding the second season the hit anime and manga series "One Punch Man". Though there is a confirmation of a second season, there are scarcity of credible informations regarding the plot and how many episodes will the anime run.
With the current information block out, rumors began circulating the web that will probably turn out as disappointment to fans. Knowing Madhouse, we can expect a lot of plot twist in the upcoming season 2.
According to reports, our bald super hero will return in season 2 with an unexpected turn of events. Saitama will be portrayed as the bad guy next season. This change up can be a bit shock to fans and it will surely generate a lot of mixed reactions.
This is maybe caused by the rumored love triangle that will bloom between the sisters Tatsumaki and Fubuki in season 2. Saitama will be caught up in the chaotic love affair that will eventually cause him to go to the dark side.
Another theory behind Saitama's unexpected change of heart is that a group of corrupt heroes will turn up against our caped hero and accuse him of something or maybe set him up. Amai mask maybe will be behind this as in the previous season portrayed him as a villain in a hero's clothing. His name even gives us a hint. His name is translated into Sweet Mask, maybe he is hiding his dark side with his sweet façade? He can also be 'King', a new hero that will be introduced in the next season.
The second season is expected to have a 22 to 24 episodes. Theoretically speaking, with more episodes, the more time needed to prepare so we can expect a much later air date if this proved to be true. "One Punch Man" season 2 is slated to air this coming October next year and fans are crossing fingers that it will not be further delayed.
