President Obama appears to be objecting in many military funds required by military personnel, the military personnel expects a 2.1 percent pay raise this coming January. A need for significant increase in manpower was also stated by the bill for the annual defense of the Congress.
It is stated on News Military that the agreement includes a massive overhaul of the military health care system. It has also mentioned that it is likely to raise public disagreements. The bill also represents the lawmakers' final offer with the White House; it has also omitted several problematic provisions on past debates.
An increase in military defense without any corresponding increase in nonmilitary programs is unacceptable was stated as "Obama objects." It is believed that the president intends to deliver that threat seriously. He might go through several measures that can affect the military workforce, troops and their families.
If ever the bill prevailed, this coming 2017 will be the first time in six years for the military to have a pay raise of 2.1 percent as per the military budget planners. They have stated that money would be of better use to pay for training and modernization costs. Unfortunately, lawmakers say that three consecutive years of pay raise trims will hurt the military families' finances.
"President Obama's objection" forced the lawmakers to have no choice but to reject the plan of President Obama as reported in Military Times, this is to lessen Army and Marine Corps strength and probably to cut long-term personnel costs. The Army who's under the final draft were set at 476,000 soldiers and about 16,000 more than the White House had requested for this coming 2017.
It is expected that the house will be voting for final authorization for the said bill draft on Friday, debaters strongly suggest that "Obama's objections" have been raising public disagreement and there could be more this coming Friday.
