The Coalition will be releasing a new DLC for "Gears of War 4" this December 6 and it provides an extra value for Season Pass holders. The new update also features two brand new maps, improvements and more.
According to Xbox Wire, Season Pass holders of "Gears of War 4" will be in for a treat as the new update will allow them to earn additional XP and Credit rewards. The Season Pass holders will earn these bonuses every time they are playing the Developer Playlist during the week it's available.
Aside from extra bonuses, Season Pass holders will also continue to enjoy getting early access to "Gears of War 4's" new maps. They would also have permanent access to all DLC maps for use in Versus and Horde Private Matches.
And The Coalition is not yet done, as they are still looking to add more benefit and value to their Season Pass holders. Aside from bonuses for "Gears of War 4" Season Pass holders, new maps and the "Gearsmas" goodies are also featured in the new DLC.
There are two brand new maps, the Speyer, and the Glory. The new maps will be added to the public playlist on December 13, but fans will also have to say goodbye (for now) to the Gridlock and Relic map.
Maps in "Gears of War 4" are available for free and are rotating in and out of the public playlist. Non-Season Pass holders who want to play maps that are currently not in the public playlist can purchase it in the "Gears of War" store.
Aside from new maps, "Gears of War 4's" new DLC also features improvements that the fans requested such as an improved visual feedback for damage dealt with the Gnasher and an improvement on the footstep audio balance, and the audio/visual settings.
Game Rant reports that the developers of "Gears of War 4" are also testing new cross-play feature for Xbox One and PC players, where they just need to play the online Versus multiplayer. And if the test is successful, The Coalition might consider enabling the Versus cross-play between the two devices.
