The Youth In Greening Ghana Module was launched by the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) in order to hit two birds with one stone. The new project serves to solve the unemployment issue in the country while beautifying the country's environment and natural resources.
YEA's new initiative to make Ghana a greener place also doubles as a way to solve the underlying unemployment rate the country currently has. The Youth Employment Agency partnered up with the Department of Parks and Gardens in order to gather new employees for the new module.
The youth that will be hired for the Youth In Greening Ghana Module will undergo training from the Department of Parks and Gardens. The said training will take place at the School of Horticulture located at Aburi in the Eastern Region. With the recent announcement by the Youth Employment Agency, multiple problems experienced by the country at present will be addressed and eventually resolved.
The Youth in Greening Ghana Module was launched by the CEO of the Youth Employment Agency Mr. Kobina Obu Beecham Jnr. The said CEO has partnered up with the Department of Parks and Gardens and it seems that the two institutions are looking at a long-term collaboration that aims to solve unemployment and to beautify their land.
According to Graphic Online, there are already 250 young men and women recruited in the name of the newly launched module. While around 30 supervisors have been chosen from different sub-metros in the Accra Metropolis.
It is definitely a noteworthy project since it aims to solve environment issues as well as unemployment of the youth, with such a great initiative and goal success is hopefully not too far ahead. The said project aims to landscape the front part of the Tesano Police Training College as well as the transformation of the Kawukudi green area into a park. Moreover, the project also intends to landscape the green areas surrounding the 37 Military Hospital.
The above-mentioned projects will all have an automated water sprinkling system to counter the country's heat in addition to the drought-resistant grass that will be spread throughout the area. As reported by News Ghana, with all the new goals and ideas surrounding the Youth In Greening Ghana Module, Ghana will soon become a paradise on earth.
While the project aims to beautify the area and take better care of the environment, it also doubles as a way to provide job opportunities for the country's youth. Stay tuned to Jobs & Hire for more updates on new job opportunities that may be waiting for you.
