Julia Robert's half-sister, Nancy Motes, 37, opened up to the New York Daily News about Julia's alleged bratty attitude towards her overweight appearance - Hollywood actress is now declining to come to Moates's wedding, inside sources said.
Moates said that there was a time when she weighed nearly 300 pounds, and all Julia Roberts could think of was pestering and bullying her for it, adding that the famous star was the one who talked her into doing a bypass surgery early last year.
"When I was in high school and she was an adult, she would just let me know that I was definitely overweight," Julia Robert's sister told the press. "She would make it quite clear to me and in a not-so-nice a manner. It just makes me feel incredibly hurt and very sad."
The once-obese woman explained that Julia's teasing continued for years, confessing that the bullying continued even after the star was catapulted into the lime light for her lead role in 'Pretty Woman' which even earned her an Oscar nomination in 1990.
Now that Nancy weighs 155 lbs., she hopes that their relationship will improve.
On the other hand, rumors that Julia Roberts will not be attending her sister's wedding spread like wildfire. Several reports claim that the Hollywood star is planning to boycott the wedding since she is not in favor of Nancy's fiancé, John Dilbeck.
"Julia doesn't think much of Nancy's husband-to-be. She's convinced he's sponging off Nancy, who doesn't have much money in the first place. They moved out to (Los Angeles) from Georgia, and John was working at a Panda Express restaurant, but he quit his job after Nancy landed a gig as a production assistant," said a recent report.
Nancy is currently working as production assistant for Fox's hit tv musicale 'Glee,' a position which she frankly admitted Julia Roberts got for her.
On the contrary, Julia Robert's sister opposed the speculation that the actress is to boycott her wedding in May 2014. "My family, we love each other absolutely... I love Julia absolutely, and I have no doubt she loves me."
