'Hearthstone' Latest News & Updates: The Mean Streets of Gadgetzan Card Packs Bugs Fixed!

Yesterday was a big day for the "Hearthstone" community as the new expansion, the Mean Streets of Gadgetzan, was launched worldwide. The new expansion will introduce Tri-class cards that further escalate the excitement among players.

The Mean Streets of Gadgetzan expansion will be based on the three crime families namely the Jade Lotus, Kabal and Grimy Goons with each family being exclusive to three hero classes of the game. With the latest additions, the expansion enabled the player's expansive deck diversity. However, some things went sour when players started opening their card packs.

Opening the card packs surprised many as the results are far from average. There are lots of duplicates especially among the nine Tri-class cards of the total 132 card set. This odds make your probability chance of getting rare cards significantly lower.

An experiment was conducted by some players to see if there are really bugs in the card pack algorithm. They opened one hundred card packs and the end result proved to be a little fishy. The regular chance to have a legendary in "Hearthstone" is one out of twenty card packs, but out of the one hundred packs, only three legendaries turned out with the two being duplicates.

The issue was acknowledged by Blizzard and are releasing hotfix right away to those affected servers. They also took the initiative to offer free packs to the victims of the said bug incident to compensate for the trouble.

"Any player on the Americas server who opened Mean Streets of Gadgetzan packs before 2:30pm PST will receive additional Mean Streets of Gadgetzan packs as compensation," said Blizzard. They also claimed that US players are the only victims of the faulty pack algorithm so other territories will be safe from the incident.

"This fix will also be added to the release of Mean Streets of Gadgetzan before packs are available to open in all other regions, so players will not be affected by this bug when Mean Streets of Gadgetzan goes live in their region," said Blizzard.
