School Bus Overturns in Kansas, Sends 20 People to the Hospital! Just How Bad Are The Casualties? WATCH Horrifying RAW FOOTAGE! [VIDEO & REPORT]

A school bus overturns near Bonner Springs, Kansas after it lost control on the curve and eventually slid down to its side, leaving school girls at a daze and sending 20 people to different hospitals within the area.

Before overturning, the bus was set to take the sixth-grade girls of Pembroke Hills School to an overnight camp at the Tall Oaks Conference Center in Linwood. The vehicle was one of the two buses travelling for the activity, the other containing sixth-grade boys. Luckily, there are no major injuries surrounding the incident and all girls, including the bus driver, are set to come home to their respective homes soon.

Roger Twitchel, the owner of a body shop that was situated right next to the crash site, was one of the first to come to the aid of the girls. "For the most part, most of the girls were acting pretty brave and were up and walking and talking," he shares. Emergency crew responded quickly and other witnesses hurried in to help, since the entrance door was blocked. "It was a bunch of brave little 11-year-old girls. Some were comforting each other," Twitchel recalls.

Injuries varied from a cut lip to head and neck injuries and to possible broken bones. The driver was seen to have helped the girls and lied down afterwards. Some of the 11-year olds were put on stretchers "just for precaution".

"Good news so far. We received four patients, all with minor bumps and bruises, and it looks like they're doing OK at this point. Nothing major," Dr. Denise Dowd of Children's Mercy Hospital discloses after seeing the girls. After the school bus overturned, tow trucks were able to put it back in its right position two hours after the incident.

Pembroke Hills School states that counseling will be made available for the students and parents, just in case.
