Brandy Concert AN EPIC FAIL! Singer Performs to 40 people in a 90,000-Seat Arena! How Did She Deal with Such an Embarrassing Turnout? [VIDEO & REPORT]

Brandy's concert was an utter failure, after she performed to nearly 40 people during the Mandela Sports and Culture Day in Soweto, South Africa last Saturday.

The show was supposed to be a surprise appearance but the festival goers didn't have the slightest clue that Brandy was coming on stage. There were previously tens of thousands of people who were there to watch the rugby and football matches as well as performances by Salif Keita, D' Banj, David Jenkins and Elvis Blue. By the time Brandy was up for her concert, well, there weren't as much people anymore.

"Brandy performed to an empty stadium. With the stadium lights on," Kabomo, the South African musician tweeted. "People didn't know there was a concert after the games. No one knew Brandy was around. Maybe a 40 people audience... she sulked after two songs and walked off." As for the R&B singer, she too never really promoted her appearance before appearing in the show. Usually, she would be heavy on the social media, informing her fans of her latest shows. There was a post in her website that seemed to have hinted about the concert last August 20 but it proven to be too cryptic for her fans to realize. Sadly, her surprise performance was quite an embarrassment. To top it all off, the national television broadcast of the show ended as well, just before the singer took to the stage.

Just as Brandy did not mention her concert before it took place, the singer never mentioned about it after as well. "Brandy was not going to South Africa to headline a show, she was there for a cause and was only scheduled to sing two songs as there were other performers ahead of her," Brandy's rep shares. "She did not storm off stage. Brandy was asked to come at the last minute to support the Nelson Mandela cause and that was the reason she went, she would go again to support the same cause regardless of how many people were in the audience.
