Newly elected US President Donald Trump is now ready to set reforms in the US Government one of these pertains to the health care system and health insurance of Americans. During his campaign, he continuously declared that he would repeal "Obamacare".
Within the first 100 days in the office, Trump and Republicans stated that they will seek a reform to dismantle the law. However, after a meeting with Mr. Obama, Trump suggested that he will amend, repeal, or replace the law.
According to a report from Vanityfair, in order to fully repeal the Obamacare, Republicans must be able to attain 60 votes to overcome the number of democrats. However, some professors and political experts do not believe that the Republicans want to repeal the law because there are also provisions and implementing rules and regulations of the law that they actually appreciate.
Obamacarefacts provided an analysis of Donald Trump's Healthcare Plan, either of the two ways if he would repeal or replace Obama's Healthcare Plan it would cost nearly $500 Billion over a decade or $330 Billion incorporating economic growth. Furthermore, the plans can double the number of uninsured which estimates to 21 million people.
The basis of the Republicans in the replacement of the Obamacare would most likely be the GOP (Grand Old Party). Looking at all past GOP plans and Trump's statements, it is almost certain that the proposed provisions will be kept and no details can be known at this point. The annotated version of Trumpcare may present the following: to completely repeal the Obamacare, to modify existing law that inhibits the sale of health insurance across state lines, to allow individuals to fully deduct health insurance premium payments from their tax returns under the current tax system, to allow individuals to use Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), and to remove barriers to entry into free markets for drug providers that offer safe, reliable and cheaper products.
