Season 3 of "Daredevil" television series may be a green light, but neither the producers nor lead star Charlie Cox officially announced details of the season's storyline. Despite the silence, this did not stop fans from speculating that Season 3 will be following the "Shadowland" story arc.
Everything that happened in Season 2 is brewing a venom strong enough to drive Matt Murdock into the depths of his dark side. With Elektra killed in a rooftop battle against the ninja minions of The Hand in the Season 2 finale, the notorious Daredevil would no longer have any qualms about getting his hands bloodier in his personal crusade against evil.
Similar reports from the University Herald and Jobs & Hire underscored the lead actor's desire to feature the infamous villain Bulls Eye. The "Daredevil" series has already introduced canon rivals like the Wilson Fisk (Kingpin), Nobu Yoshioka (The Hand) and Frank Castle (Punisher). It is only a matter of time before Bulls Eye throws himself into the grand melee.
"Shadowland" is a 2010 Marvel Comic issue that portrays the darker side of Matt Murdoch's character. In it, the Daredevil cuts a swath of ruthless justice and quickly took control of the entire ninja organization of The Hand. While maintaining his leadership, his extreme methods eventually lead to the brutal death of traditional rival Bulls Eye and a feud with other New York-based superheroes like Spider-Man, Luke Cage, Moon Knight and Iron Fist.
It is only natural for "Daredevil" fans to expect this kind of development in Season 3. "Shadowland" story arc provides an opportunity for a ratings-raking crossover via the debut of additional Marvel characters. In fact, Game N Guide reports that the possible top candidates for the Bulls Eye character include Jake Gyllenhaal of "Prince of Persia" or Jared Leto of the "Suicide Squad."
