Ben Aaron is from WNBC and the couple had been dating for years now. Ginger Zee engaged with the help of a banana pudding container and some construction men in a nearby fountain. According to the story published by ABC News, Ginger Zee has just finished her workout and in her workout clothes when Aaron ambushed her with a surprise. He told the weather anchor to wait for him beside a fountain where the two first met. At first, Ginger Zee thought that it's just another rendezvous with her partner but things got interesting when he handed her a tub of banana pudding ice cream, a treat that they usually enjoy together.
GMA's popular weather anchor found the engagement ring hidden in the banana pudding container. As soon as she saw the ring, Ben Aaron popped the big question.
"I had no idea! It was 2:30 p.m.- I had workout clothes on and the construction crew working on the fountain burst into applause-so cute", said Ginger Zee after the momentous occasion.
The construction men who were working nearby stopped with what they're doing to give the couple a round of applause.
The 31-year old anchor from WNBC who works for the "New York Live" said that planning the surprise was a bit of a challenge for him.
Ginger Zee refers to her fiancé as the love of her life. She told her fans that she love the most about Ben is his ability to make her laugh.
