The on-again, off-again Real Housewives of Orange County couple Brooks Ayers, 46, and Vicki Gunvalson, 51, may have captured the sentiments of their viewers through the show, but Ayers seemed to have let out a different side of him in expletive-laden audio tapes, quoting his admonition "Imma f**king beat her ass" the next time he sees his wife.
The 46-year-old businessman's threatening statements in secret tape recordings somehow found its way to the media; his sinister side revealed that he is used to addressing his wife a "f**king whore" in her absence.
Sources said that Brooks can be heard talking to his daughter's husband and Vicki's son-in-law Ryan Culberson in the said hidden recordings.
"B*tch, like she's never done it before ever," said Brooks against his wife Vicki at the start of one of the audio tapes. "Imma gonna f**king beat her ass when I see her," he resumed.
The conversation between the two went on as follows:
"That ain't right," said Ryan.
"It ain't?" Brooks asked.
"No," he replied.
"What ain't right?" Brooks asked.
"You can't beat her up," said Ryan.
"I'm going to beat her ass," he said.
"Why?" questioned Ryan.
"Because I can. That's what we do in the South," he answered.
Brooks even encouraged Culberson to do the same at some point in the recording. However, the Staff Sergeant in the Marines, Ryan, downright disproved the businessman's offer.
An inside source explained that the secret recordings were made because some of Vicki Gunvalson's friends were very much concerned about her safety in the hands of her 46-year-old husband.
Additionally, Brooks can be heard reading a text message in the second audio recording. The text he was reading says, "Do as you do. Sorry you're drunk again. So your loss. I can't fight with I [sic]. I don't have it in me."
Nevertheless, after finding out that the recordings were leaked to the public, Brooks Ayers consequently announced an apology for his defamatory and reproachful words.
"For those who have been a victim of domestic abuse and/or been with someone who, at times, drinks too much, I know that the memories of those times are horrific," he said. "I was exposed at an early age to abuse and I can assure everyone that I do not, in any way/or under any circumstance deem it okay to abuse anyone. For the record, I have never abused anyone or had a domestic abuse record."
Vicki Gunvalson and Brooks Ayers met in 2011. They shared a very rocky relationship from the beginning until the decided to call it quits early this year.
