AFTER LOLO JONES'S FATEFUL STUMBLE IN THE BEIJING OLYMPICS AND BRINGING HOME THE GOLD WITH THE U.S. BOBSLED TEAM, WHAT'S NEXT FOR OLYMPIC SUPERSTAR? [+VIDEO]

Lolo Jones is ready for Hollywood. The Olympian is set to do her first movie, Left Behind, next year alongside Nicholas Cage.

One of the most popular athletes who participated in the 2012 London Olympics, the thirty-year-old Olympian who has come so close to the peak of the track and field world and only just shifted and tried to earn a place on the U.S. bobsled team has decided it was time she tries her luck in Hollywood.

"I'm a gate attendant. I have ten wods, Really 8. I counted Mr. Williams as 2 words to increase Oscar chance," she tweeted referring to her appearance in the movie. Her fans might be expecting to see how well she acts and may be disappointed to know that she only has a beat role in the movie.

Jones had a chance at the gold medal in the Beijing Olympics. She entered as the top bet to win the 100-meter hurdle. She was leading, trailing other athletes behind but she stumbled over a hurdle. The fall caused her a chance at first place, instead she fell from first to seventh place. She was determined to retaliate and get the gold medal last summer but again, she failed to bring home the gold.

Months after the Olympic games, the U.S. bobsled team expressed their interest in making her part of their team. Jones made the squad and on January, she along with the whole team won the gold medal at the World Championships.

Lolo Jones' shot in the movies was a bit of good luck. The movie was set to be shot at Baton Rouge and when its movie producer were informed that she was going to Baton Rouge area for her training, they approached her and offered her the role. Lolo Jones was more than happy to say "yes".

Left Behind is a movie based on a popular book series.
