Cheer fans and gamers! Nostralrius' server is again to bring you your favorite game World of Warcraft before 2016 ends. A major comeback of its PvP and PvE servers is said to happen as it turn its database under another fan-run Elysium project.
The Nostralrius' server was reportedly shut down by Blizzard due to some violations, earlier this year. According to Eurogamer, the said server had offered a pre-expansion version of WoW which the Blizzard did not. The Nostralrius' gamers were also said to overpower the Blizzard servers, with its tens of thousands of gamers playing at peak times.
However, due to massive support which garnered over a hundred thousand petitions signed by players, the Nostralrius team was invited for a forum over the Blizzard headquarter located in Southern California as per Shack News. The report also said that the Blizzard has considered running a vanilla server due to the "tremendous challenges" in incorporating their classic servers, in addition to the incredible support they're getting for the multi-live version of the game.
There also came a stress test on Elysium end during the weekend which had a peak of 100,000 players. The said project is expected to launch the Nostralrius' PvP and PvE servers on the 17th of December at 12PM EST and 5PM following the UK time. The accounts are also said to be recovered though the Elysium is still having a "fresh-start server" coinciding with the said comeback, for those who wish to renew accounts, added Eurogame.
The World of Warcraft is currently on its 12th year following its initial release on November 23, 2004. It is the fourth game set in the Warcraft universe under the Blizzard Entertainment. The WoW is known to be the most-subscribed massive multiplayer online role playing game and holds the Guiness World Records on the most popular MMORPG with its subscribers.
