Will Smith and his kids Jaden and Willow were up for a surprise at the MTV Music Video Awards on Sunday, and nothing shocked them the most than Lady Gaga's live performance of her new single 'Applause' inside the Barclays Center.
Although Will Smith's family was first reported to have been caught on cam reacting hilariously to Miley Cyrus's quite controversial twerking, stripping, and more twerking with Robin Thicke, the one who took the picture later on clarified that it was actually during Gaga's performance when he took the reaction photo of the Smith's.
The photo showed 44-year-old Will Smith, along with his 15-year-old son, Jaden, and 12-year-old daughter, Willow, looking confused and somehow cringing to Lady Gaga's multiple costume changes in her performance, the said show opener for the VMAs.
Meanwhile, many media reporters had assumed earlier that the photograph of Will Smith's family was a reaction to Cyrus's "molly-filled" and super-raunchy VMAs performance, but the news was falsified after the one who took the photo explained everything, even recounting and tracing the exact time when he took it.
On the other hand, Miley Cyrus was to showcase a jaw-dropping song number on stage with Robin Thicke, a Us Weekly reported in advance, and indeed the famous Disney star never disappointed the rumor as she danced with large teddy bears, stripped off to a sin-toned two-piece, wagged her tongue to the crowd most of the time, and privately twerked for Thicke during their 'Blurred Lines' duet.
Although the former country singer - who was allegedly having a fight with her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, during that time - got nominated for her 'We can't Stop' summer single for Best Song of the Summer, Best Editing, Best Pop Video, and Best Female Video categories, she unfortunately went home with nothing sort of an award.
Miley tweeted on her official account just minutes after the show, "Leaving the VMAs. No it's not over. I'm no psychic but congrats @onedirection #songofthesummer."
