The Land Of The Midnight Sun Sports Its Newest Cold Spot: Ice Hotel 365

Are you feeling up for some cold adventure this coming holiday season? Call out your friends and family as the world's first permanent ice hotel just recently opened in North Sweden.

Since it's opening in 1989, the first hotel made up of snow and ice has catered to both Swedish and non-Swedish winter lovers all over the world. Unfortunately, every year since it started, the hotel staff had to build and rebuild the entire set-up, making it only available during the holiday season.

This newest tourist spot is called Ice Hotel 365 as it offers 365 full days of operation for everyone to enjoy. It is located 200 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle in Jukkasjärvi, Sweden.

Now that the owners have acquired the newest technology, the ice hotel is set to welcome everybody not only for one but for all seasons. Yes, you read that right. It will now be open all year-round starting this December.

How will this work? Basically, the mechanism works as a new cooling technology is adapted to allow a much longer freezing process possible.

CNN says the hotel will have a completely unique blueprint each year and will utilize the 5,000-ton ice produce of the nearby River Torne. They will then be storing more over the summer to keep the place cold as is.

If you are worried that it might eventually be boring because it will contain the same iced amenities the entire year, well you do not need to. Practically speaking, the structure will still need ice replacements regularly.

This means the hotel can and will have to reorganize and refurnish regularly as well. This way, the guests will get to see new sceneries each time they pay a visit. This exciting spot will surely have Sweden be more loved as the land of the Midnight Sun. The beautiful sceneries can be previewed on Icehotel.com.
