Lindsey Vonn shared her thoughts on pro golfer boyfriend Tiger Woods, and exposed her plan to join the Olympics in 2014 after full knee injury recovery, USA Today reported on Tuesday.
Olympic medalist Lindsey Vonn is finally taking the cat out of its bag by finally talking about her relationship with Tiger Woods publicly.
"There's really nothing about him that bothers me," Vonn said, adding, "He doesn't even leave the seat up! It's awesome."
After her divorce proceedings with ex-husband Thomas Vonn are finally over, Lindsey says that a lot of things have changed in her life.
"From a personal standpoint, everything in my life has changed. It's a complete 180 in a short period of time... I went from being married and living on my own in L.A. to having a new boyfriend and just being totally self-sufficient and super independent."
According to People magazine, Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods officially announced their relationship in March 2013, after a year of exclusively seeing each other. The two first met at a charity event in 2012.
In her guesting on USA Today Sports, Lindsey dished out her plans after her successful knee injury recovery. "I've been in the gym far too long. I'm ready to be out in the fresh air."
Lindsey also talked about how she spend her time with her family during her knee injury rehabilitation, adding that although she enjoyed all of it, she felt as though nothing could replace the enjoyment she gets out of ski racing.
"I've been working so hard for so long to get back. I don't care what I do as long as I'm on snow. I just want to get back to my job," she said, adding, "I'm the same person I was before. I'm an Olympic ski racer. I don't read into what people say especially now," Lindsay said. Whether people know me for my skiing or not is really irrelevant because people in ski racing know and respect me and that's all that really matters."
Vonn added that she wants to compete for the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Russia provided that Tiger Woods would come along.
"He's kind of a fish out of water in the cold weather," Vonn said.
However, before she even engages into practicing for the Olympics, Vonn is gearing up to battle in a Beaver Creek, Colo competition in late November.
"I leave for Chile on Friday and I'll be on the snow on Monday!" Vonn said. "It's probably going to be slower than I want it to be ... But I'm really excited just to be out there, to be in the mountains, to be going fast again."
Meanwhile, Lindsey Vonn's trainer said that she should still be cautious about her knee's condition.
"We'll just try to see how she feels on snow, how her knee is reacting. Not getting swelling will be the focus for the first two days - skiing without any pain," her trainer, Martin Hager, said.
