Justin Timberlake, in his latest radio guesting at Fresh 102.7's Jim and Kim Show, said that he is more than willing to play the Riddler in the latest 'Man of Steel' installment after hearing the news that Ben Affleck is to play Batman, USA Today reported Friday.
After Justin Timberlake's very well-received reunion and performance with his N'SYNC members, he is now looking for a new prospect movie role to work on. The full-time singer and occasional movie actor revealed his interest in playing the cunningly vicious Riddler in a Ben Affleck's Batman flick.
"I want to play more than anything because I grew up loving Batman, funny enough, is the Riddler. The Riddler is my favorite villain," Justin said on the show.
Earlier, the Hollywood singer was asked if he wanted to play as Robin, the role which Matt Damon already got, and he answered without hesitation, "Not a chance in hell," the actor said and laughed. "I ain't playin' Robin. I have no aspiration to ever be a superhero in a movie."
When asked why he wanted to play The Riddler (formerly played by comedian actor Jim Carrey), "The Riddler was like a sociopath," Justin answered. "He was proper crazy. So if I'm gonna play crazy, I'm wanna play proper crazy." The singer and actor then quipped "I'm ready... The Riddler. Give me a call."
Justin Timberlake also poured out his thoughts on Ben Affleck's Batman portrayal.
"Ben Affleck as Batman, I like it," Timberlake said. "I worked with Ben last summer, and I've seen his process. I think he's a brilliant filmmaker. I think he's an extreme talent, so he could surprise a lot of people."
So could Justin really be the next Riddler? Well, for the time being it's safe to say not. NY Daily News reported that 'Man of Steel' sequel director Zack Snyder is unlikely to include the Riddler in the movie, which is due to begin filming next year.
