Not Batman, nor Robin, it's the Riddler Justin Timberlake wants to play. In a recent interview on Fresh 102.7, Justin finally let out his aspiration of playing the role of the Riddler.
"I have no aspiration to ever be a superhero," Timberlake revealed, before adding that he would actually want to play a villain. "I'll tell you the villain I want to play more than anything, because I grew up loving Batman, funny enough, is the Riddler. The Riddler is my favorite villain."
Morning show hosts Kim Birk and Jim Douglas managed to get Justin elaborate on why he was so keen on playing the Riddler. "The Riddler was like a sociopath. He was proper crazy. So if I'm gonna play crazy, I'm want to play proper crazy," Justin explained. "I'm ready. The Riddler. Gimme a call."
When asked about playing Robin, "Not a chance in hell," the 32-year old singer and performer blurted out. "I ain't playin' Robin." Looks like it's the Riddler all the way for Justin.
Battling away some typical radio banter, Timberlake finally let out why he wanted to play the Riddler when Douglas asked him about his views on Ben Affleck being cast as Batman. "Ben Affleck as Batman, I like it," says Justin. "I worked with Ben last summer and I've seen his process. I think he's a brilliant filmmaker. I think he's an extreme talent so he could surprise a lot of people."
Affleck and Timberlake, who recently worked together for their new upcoming move 'Runner Runner,' seem to be good mates. What's more, Timberlake seems to feel that Affleck is more than up for the challenging role of playing Batman.
Kyle Chandler, Matt Damon and Michael Keaton too, seem to feel the same way. Congratulations Affleck; you have some serious believers out there.
Ben Affleck will now star as Batman in the sequel to the movie 'Man of Steel,' directed by Zack Snyder.
