Fans of JJ Abrams will be happy to hear that he will be back fo another sci-fi drama series. After the success of 'Westworld', JJ Abrams' Bad Robot Productions has collaborated with HBO for an exciting sci-fi drama which will be entitled 'Glare'.
Abrams will be the executive producer of the said upcoming project alongside Ben Stephenson and Javier Gullón.There are no further details aside from the fact that Glare is an hour-long sci-fi drama series tackling the colonization of another planet.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, "Glare" is the latest collaboration between HBO and Abrams.Gullón will be the scriptwriter,making it his first TV series project.He is currently under CAA, Pacific View Management.Ben Stephenson,Bad Robot's head of development developed the project based on the original concept by Gullón.
'Game of Thrones' is nearing its final season.On the other hand,'Westworld' which is a huge success just wrapped up its first season coming back for a second on 2018.HBO is looking to fill in the void and 'Glare' seems to be the perfect fit.
Jeffrey Jacob Abrams also known as 'JJ Abrams' is an award-winning director,producer, and screenwriter. He is known for his successful TV series like Felicity,Person of Interest,Alias,Lost, and Fringe.Abram also directed "Star trek" in 2009; "Star Trek:Into the darkness" in 2013 and "Star Wars:The Force Awakens" in 2015 which is the 3rd highest grossing film of all time.
Deadline said that Abram executively produced on Showtime's short-lived Cameron Crowe series "Roadies," and Hulu's James Franco drama "11.22.63." Abrams is represented by Jackoway Tyerman and CAA.
Reports say that Space has been a favorite theme for movies and TV series this year. It is a great setting to plot stories,however, the budget for a sci-fi film is highly expensive.
