Louis Tomlinson was set to perform on the "X Factor 2016" where in the champion is decided among the three contestants. But that night turned out to be all about Louis’ touching tribute to his late mum.
Louis Tomlinson’s mother Johannah, aged 43, passed away last Wednesday morning while battling with leukemia. Still, last Saturday, Louis’ bravely dominated the "X Factor" stage that once made him famous in 2010. Managing to fight his tears back, he delivered an energetic performance with DJ Steve Aoki, entitled “Just Hold On.”
After Louis’ breathtaking performance, Simon made a moving speech saying that he’s known Louis for six years. The bravery he had done, and that he respects Louis as an artist and as a person. Simon wholeheartedly said that Louis’ mum is probably excited about his performance and is looking down on him that night. Louis’ received a standing ovation from the judges and everyone in the audience after he delivered the last note of the song. Simon and the other "X Factor" judges gave Louis hugs after his performance.
Following the performance, Louis feeling the total rain and haul of support from fans posted on Twitter, “Feeling so much love around me and my family. Mum would have been so f**ing proud (sorry for swearing mum ) love you !...” He also tweeted that the performance was harder than he imagined and that he wants to thank everyone around him especially the amazing fans out there that made his performance special.
Louis’ also tweeted about his collaborator Steve Aoki as a rock and inspiration throughout and a real gent and real talent. Steve Aoki then replied that Louis is the true rock that has a truly kind heart and that he is proud of Louis.
Daily Mail reported that One Direction's Louis Tomlinson has his bandmates Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Liam Payne backstage all the time to show their support. Niall even flew back from New York just to support Louis in his time of grieve. This was the reunion of the band after being not together for about one year already. A truly lovely and touching "One Direction" reunion to be held.
The Weeknd, Madness, Kylie Minogue and the only group to have ever won the "X Factor", Little Mix, are also the people who performed alongside Louis’ in the championship night.
