After the successful release of "Insidious: Chapter 3" in 2015. Lin Shaye will be back and will continue to hunt the demons in the upcoming sequel "Insidious: Chapter 4."
Entertainment Weekly shares some details about the sequel. There are additional characters that will join "Insidious: Chapter 4" including; Tessa Ferrer from the famous series "Grey's Anatomy," she will play the role of Audrey. Adam Robitel from "The Taking of Deborah Logan" will also join the sequel. While Lyn Shaye will still portray the role of Elise Rainer, a parapsychologist.
In an interview, Shaye reveals some scenes in "Insidious: Chapter 4." She says that, the story of Chapter 4 will begin where the Chapter 3 ends. Elise will go back from the start, in which her character is more different at some point, and it is not the same like a parapsychologist.
The past of Elise will have a lot of revelation, as reported. This will introduce her family where they live in a happy place then went to downhill which only means uphill. But then everything has changed after they go back to Elise's hometown in New Mexico; the journey of Elise will begin here. In which, the search for the bad guy that keeps on hunting her will start. Shaye further shares that the fans of "Insidious" will probably love the Chapter 4 because the level of it being scary is much different and there's a lot more to expect than the previous Chapters.
"Insidious: Chapter 4" is written by Leigh Whannell. Shaye also shares on the interview that Whannell was dedicated in doing the scripts of the movie that is why it became fantastic. He even searched some giant haunted house that was made of stone in Spain to be inspired and make a really good concept.
"Insidious: Chapter 4" will arrive in theaters this coming October 20, 2017; this was revealed in the teaser video.
On the other hand, one of the most successful sequel of Insidious is the "Chapter 2." The movie reportedly hit $41 million and made it the top spot in North America during its opening date, previous report from Jobs & Hire.
