Google's latest Pixel phone has some impressive features unknown to many users. The Pixel comes with some less evident features worth exploring here are several of them.
Quick Shortcut to Free Up Space
Google Photos includes one of the most valuable shortcuts. To access this, all you have to do is long press the Photos icon, and then you will see a shortcut to free up space. Click on that option and the app will automatically find duplicate photos from your phone already saved on Google Photos. A confirmation will pop up and will ask if you would like to delete photos since they have been backed up. Noticeably, you can perform this in the app itself, but this is a quick way when you need extra phone storage in your Google Pixel.
Customize Your Daily Briefing
My Day is one of the most amusing, useful features in Google Assistant. The app can be launch using the voice command. You can say, OK Google, narrate to me about my day, and you will get an update on the weather, news, traffic, and more. On top of that, you can customize the kind of information you want to comprise in the briefing. Access this through Google Personal Assistant, direct to Settings and choose My Day. Then select the kind of info you want: Weather, meetings, commute, and reminders. In addition, you can also customize your news sources by tapping the settings icon under News.
Get New Wallpaper Every Day
There are Pixel's live wallpapers that not only look lovely but also serve a practical purpose. The horizon wallpaper, for instance, displays a sunrise while your phone charges. Once the battery weakens, the sun goes down. In addition, you can also view the earth with real-time clouds, depending on your location. To top it all, Google has a daily wallpapers feature that switches out your wallpaper image every day. To access these, go to Settings, Display, and then Wallpapers. If you choose Cityscapes, for instance, you will see a selection to turn on a daily wallpaper. Hit the box to set.
