Working with a superior entails more than the job per se as it also requires a certain level of satisfaction from them. Knowing they are pleased with your work is sometimes necessary and this can be easily achieved with an expressive supervisor. But what about a silent-type boss?

They give you more task and entrust you with higher responsibilities
While we think our boss punishes us by giving off many difficult tasks, Business Insider suggests that it is not always the case. If you feel your boss gives you more tasks, it may mean he/she trusts you better than anyone else. The same is true with having bigger and higher level of responsibilities which sometimes involve handling a project or leading your co-workers.
They seek for you always
Again, if your boss is looking for you every time there is a possibility that he/she values your involvement in the project. Not all can be lucky to be even recognize by the boss and if you are one, then chances are high that you are favored by your supervisor.
Also if your boss always ask you to help others with their task, it means, they see you as more knowledgeable and able to fulfill such tasks. Do not complain, instead work on it and who knows, this may be just a test prior to a promotion.

If the boss sees your potential and skills, then they tend to value you more. It may not manifest through their words but it will show in their actions. Having respect from them can be determine if they listen to what you say or let you engage in important forums and conversations.

Also honesty from your supervisor, even if it's not as good as you hoped for is a sign of love as they wanted you to learn and improve more.

If your boss seems so concern about you issues or situation in your job, then it means they value you as their employee. As the source says, asking you on your work-related problems and even your level of satisfaction on your job does not indicated interrogation. Rather this may be a sign of them wanting to help solve your issues as to retain you in their company.
Sometimes reading your boss can be confusing and difficult. However, it is not whether he/she likes you or not that is more important. Rather, doing your job well and keeping with your goals should always be your main priority and the rest will surely follow.
