Chaz Bono, Cher and Sonny Bono's son, shocked the world when he was spotted half his former flabby size in West Hollywood, California on Wednesday, Daily Mail reported Sept. 4.
Chaz began his weight loss journey after joining 'Dancing with the Stars' in 2011. He weighs 253 pounds back then, quite bulky and heavy for a 5-foot-5 man.
Chaz said back in May, when he was roughly close to 190 pounds, that he was motivated to lose weight because of his appearance on DWTS.
"I'd love to do 'Dancing [With the Stars]' all over again," Chaz said. "I'd do it so much better now than I did then!"
According to Inquisitr, Chaz Bono began his weight loss journey in November when he was still 250 pounds, and he initially intended to shed off 50 pounds, but due to his all-meat and vegetables diet he beat his goal by shedding off an additional 30 pounds.
"I've been eating the same way now for months and months and that hasn't changed," Chaz shared. "I'm going to have to eat this way for the rest of my life."
The 44-year-old also revealed aside from his diet and exercise, he would feed his appetite with a bottle of water with orange flavoring. Chaz even shared that he used an FDA-approved obesity drug called "Qysmia" under his physician's supervision.
Chaz Bono said that he sought for medical assistance from his doctors in order for him to lose weight while undergoing his male hormone therapy after his gender reassignment surgery.
"I just have a lot more confidence and that feels really cool," Chaz told People. "I really like what I see in the mirror."
The LGBT activist, writer, and musician said that he didn't actually intend to reach a certain number, he just wanted to look and feel better.
"Physically, my body feels just so much better I'm in a lot less discomfort when I exercise and am doing physical stuff. All of my numbers are all normal now, which is great - my blood pressure, my cholesterol." Chaz Bono said.
