Forbes Magazine named "Modern Family" main stay Sofia Vergara as the highest earning actress on US television.
The 41-year-old Columbian native nabbed the title for second year in a row. She earned an approximate of $US30 million between June 2012 and June 2013. Sofia's earnings almost doubled compared to last year's where she was reported to earn US$19 million.
Vergara was able to establish a huge gap on actresses trailing behind her. Rank two Kaley Cuoco of "Big Bang Theory" and Mariska Hargitay of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" both earned $US11 million, respectively.
The fourth place is crowded by Tina Fey, former reality TV star Bethenny Frankel, the Kardashian sisters, Melissa McCarthy and Ellen Pompeo who all earned $US10 million.
Forbes cited Sofia Vergara as the "queen of celebrity endorsement deals". Sofia represents lucrative deals such as Diet Pepsi, Comcast, Covergirl, Rooms To Go, and thyroid medicine Synthroid.
Vergara also has clothing and home goods lines sold at Sears Holding Corp's retailer Kmart that added US$7 million to her earnings portfolio.
The magazine also included in the audit the earnings made from licensing deals and series work. Sofia Vergara recently gained the title as an executive producer on the US drama "Killer Woman" aside from her starring role in "Modern Family".
The beautiful and sexy actress attributed her success on mainstream television to her natural sex appeal and bubbly attitude.
Being sexy and beautiful is a natural thing for Sofia. In her recent interview in America's Harper's Bazaar she said, "I'm Latin; I do it no matter what. It's automatic. I shower, do hair and makeup. For me, it's like shaving. I don't believe in a natural look."
Sofia Vergara entered the show business at the age of 20 as a runway model. She also appeared in commercials and small roles on television.
