100 Vehicle Crash Domino-Like [RAW FOOTAGE]: Crashing Sound Lasts For 10 Minutes But Leaves No Fatalities! Hero Motorist Responsible For Miracle? [VIDEO & REPORT]

100-vehicle crash: About 100 vehicles got involved in a massive car crash in the U.K. on a foggy Thursday morning.

8 people were seriously hurt but fortunately no fatalities have been recorded only a dozen of people with minor injuries, Examiner reported Thursday. UPI reported that at least 100 vehicles collided, domino-like, into one atop another at an English county bridge in Kent.

The 100-vehicle crash occurred at both ends of Sheppey Bridge, and authorities claimed that it was due to two factors: poor driving from the people that triggered the pile up and the quite foggy atmosphere of the bridge that made visibility very low.

Witnesses said that the bridge was almost fully covered in a dense fog, leading to the massive car accident. Police Chief Inspector Andy Reeves regards the accident "miraculous," adding that the amount of damage is "the most significant incident I have been to in over 20 years of policing.

"Police officers confirmed that the 100-vehicle crash left 8 victims seriously hurt, a dozen more got minor injuries, but no record of dead victims. There are no fatalities but ambulance crews are dealing with a large number of walking wounded casualties," a Kent Fire and Rescue Service member said.

"Firefighters have used hydraulic cutting equipment to release five people from their vehicles. Motorist Martin Stammers described the accident "horrific" and added that "all you could hear was cars crashing."

The sound reportedly lasted for approximately 10 minutes. More than 30 emergency vehicles responded right away, and firefighters had to cut several people from their vehicles to securely take them to the nearby hospitals.

Chris Buckingham, another witness, claimed that another motorist was responsible for the accident turned miracle due to no recorded deaths. Buckingham said that a man used his truck to barricade the entrance to the bridge, keeping more cars from joining the massive piling up. "Whoever that guy is I'd like to shake his hand because he's probably saved lives today," he added.

The hero motorist has not been named as of late, but reports stated that he did a great job in responding quickly amid the dangerous situation. His blocking helped responders access the scene immediately and without delay in helping the victims of the crash.

Law officials are currently investigating on the potential cause of the 100-vehicle crash, and how such big of an accident can be avoided in the future.
