Reports claim that Jack Sparrow, a main character in the said film franchise will be making his last appearance in the upcoming installment.
Johnny Depp will still reprise his role as the notorious Jack Sparrow in "Pirates Of The Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales," and his role in the upcoming film is as vital as ever. This is despite his absence in the official trailer.
According to Yibada, "Pirates Of The Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales" will focus on the likes of Henrey Turner (Brenton Thwaites), son of Elizabeth Swan (Keira Knightley) and Will Turner (Orlando Bloom). Father and son are slated for a much-needed reunion in the upcoming movie, despite the horrible curse that keeps them from being together. All this while Jack Sparrow deals with his demons yet again.
The same report claims that Jack Sparrow will be faced with an old enemy, Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem) who recently escaped the Devil's Triangle with the urge to kill every last pirate in "Pirates Of The Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales." That pickle led Jack to pursue a powerful artifact called the Trident of Poseidon, which gives him control over the vast seas.
Cinema Blend reported that a reboot is in order for "Pirates Of The Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales." Apparently, the franchise intends to focus on new characters, with fresh tales and faces. Hence, there is a possibility that this will be Johnny Depp's last act as Jack Sparrow.
Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario) is a new face coming to "Pirates Of The Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales" and she is rumored to be the daughter of Captain Barbosa. Carina is in the same boat as Jack Sparrow, as she is also pursuing the Trident of Poseidon.
