Both smartphone users and tech analysts are preparing for what this firmware upgrade is all about, with an Android Nougat update on its way. Multiple features and more improvement of the applications will be expected including the Android operating system (OS) itself were assuredly added. It's a must for those users who are still using Android Marshmallow, to upgrade into Android Nougat, for it has more advantage. Here are four new features that only Android Nougat OS has:
Multitasking
Split screen or multi-window mode, is one of the most interesting new features of Android Nougat. This allows to multitask efficiently and let users to manage its gadget effortlessly. Just hold the "Task-Switching" button and the screen will split in two. This will allow multiple applications to run side by side without hanging. Also, users can resize his/her desire screen resolution.
Revamped notification system
The look, feel, and use of notifications in Android Nougat are way better than Android Marshmallow, according to Forbes. The system of notification is renovated as it's wider than the usual, it fills the screen and between each notification its space are lessening vertically. Moreover, "Messenger" and "Hangouts" are equipped with the new quick-reply option.Users even tap to directly reply to a message without opening the app, depending on the app in use.
Better data control
Phone users know that apps that run in the background can crunch data and burn through the data plan therefore Android Nougat come up with a new setting called "Data Saver". It limits the background data usage on various cellular networks.
Improved battery life
To save the phone battery's life more efficiently, Android Nougat introduces "Doze" mode. "Doze" mode will cap the battery usage to the lowest point possible, as long as the screen light is off and the phone is unattended.
Update roll out will be expected on early 2017.
