The action-drama TV series created and produced by former CIA officer Joe Weisberg, "The Americans" would be back on small screen next year. FX has already renewed the show on May for its final two seasons that would be airing on 2017 and 2018. Meanwhile, it was rumored that off-screen as well as on-screen lover Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys had a conflict on set.

"The Americans" co-stars Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys had been off-screen lovers since 2014 as they announced it publicly. The Hollywood real life couple was also on-screen lovers on the said FX TV series. It was reported by GameNGuide that the couple had a conflict on set and has been argued about their "bed scene".

On an exclusive interview with Russell and Rhys with The Hollywood Reporter, it was stated that the 42-year-old actor was overprotective to his girlfriend, Russell. He was not that comfortable with having sex scenes with Russell on their show, "The Americans". He also admitted that he's very concerned with the nudity of his lover.

"I am, actually. I get a little protective. I'm like, "Can someone get her an f-in' robe, please?! She's standing there naked, we've cut for five seconds, Jesus Christ." (Laughter.) And they're like, "Dude, this is the fourth season." Rhys said during an interview.

On the other hand, Russell doesn't have any hesitations on being naked on the set. Besides, she loved having bed scenes with her long-time boyfriend as she admitted that having to do the sexiest, most in love and most romantic version of their sex scenes in "The Americans" could be empowering. Besides, Russell said that almost 50 of their friends were watching on set.

"But I will say I sort of love the use of it on our show because, at least in my experience being a woman, you usually have to do the sexiest, the most in love, the most romantic version. In our show, I'm in a place of power." Stay tuned on Jobs & Hire for more latest news and updates!
