"The Good Fight," has finally released its first trailer on Sunday afternoon with a 30-second teaser aired over CBS. Judging from the teaser, the audience can expect Diane Lockhart and her colleagues getting tangled in all sorts of drama throughout the series.
"Practicing the law, you don't go on instinct; you wait, you listen and watch. Eventually, everyone reveals themselves," narrates Diane Lockhart as the teaser unfolds.
"The Good Fight" is a spinoff of the "The Good Wife" series that featured Christine Baranski in the role of Diane. Entertainment Tonight says that an assortment of all the leading characters provides some insights into the interesting drama that is going to consume "The Good Fight" lawyers this time. Baranski returns to her previous role as Diane and another character, who is also making a comeback, is Lucca Quinn played by Crush Jumbo. Joining the cast is Rose Leslie of the acclaimed "Game of Thrones" in the original role of Maia Sindell.
Maia is a young lawyer with a tarnished reputation because of a huge financial scam that she got herself into. She also wipes out Diane's savings, her mentor, and godmother at the same time. Forced to leave Lockhart & Lee, they unite with Crush Jumbo at one of the finest law firms in Chicago.
According to the Huffington Post, 'The Good Fight' picks up a year following the events of "The Good Wife" finale. Last year, Jobs & Hire posted some spoilers of that final episode before it was aired on May 8.
Among the standout scenes included in the teaser is Maia in bed with a different woman, a distressed Maia walking hurriedly through the hallways of a law firm and breaking down inside the bathroom after that, and some stripped couple watching the news on television. The premiere of "The Good Life" is scheduled to be aired exclusively on CBS All Access on February 19.
