“Game of Thrones” continues to soar as the show continues to gain more viewers each year, and fans cannot get enough of George R.R. Martin’s world and characters as they fight, scheme, and conquer their way to the Iron Throne. But let’s pretend that these strong-willed characters, particularly the ladies, are around in real life, and if they were to build careers in the real world, which one would come up as the best boss of all time?
Here are some of the “Game of Thrones” contenders for the best boss in the land.
Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke)
Brave, strong, and well-rounded, this meek and exiled young girl transformed herself to become the Mother of Dragons, the Breaker of Chains, and the Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea. Through every obstacle, Daenerys managed to come out unscathed and victorious. This character will make a great boss due to her tenacity, bravery, and persistence. However, she does have a dangerous streak and could turn her dragons against anyone who comes up against her.
Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey)
This character could make any fashion queen or diva bow down as Cersei is decisive, ruthless, and, let’s face it—she gets the job done. She can also be a good mother figure, and when provoked, she can turn things ugly with a wave of her chalice. But Cersei could prove to be a nightmare boss as she can turn employees into a quivering mess with a single chilly glance. Moreover, her choices often serve only her purpose, and she might not consider the good of the entire kingdom—or company—if ever she rose to full power.
Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner)
After going through the pain of losing her father, mother, brother, and being forced to marry against her will twice, this formerly girly and fussy lady grew up to be someone with a sense of what it takes to rule the land. Sansa has the potential to be a good leader as she knows how the game is played, but her tendency to be influenced by those around her could lead to her downfall.
Olenna Tyrell (Diana Rigg)
The leader of House Tyrell is right up there with Cersei when it comes to scheming and strategizing, and her directness could be an asset in any kingdom or company in the real world. The character proves that older leaders could always teach young ones a thing or two about politics, power play, and strategy, which some of the other characters sorely lack.
Lady Lyanna Mormont (Bella Ramsey)
Without a doubt, “Game of Thrones” season 6’s breakout character is the best boss to lead a company in real life as the young girl has proven to be an ideal leader in more ways than one. As a boss, the girl leads by example as she showed up at the Battle of the Bastards. She also schooled older lords and ladies about loyalty and was the force behind Jon Snow’s (Kit Harington) appointment as the King of the North.
Moreover, the 12-year-old ruler also looked after the well-being of her own people as she got some of her soldiers to join Sansa and Jon’s fight, while ensuring that Bear Island is still fully protected. Indeed, Lady Lyanna Mormont is a force to be reckoned with as she proves that age or gender have nothing to do with being a great boss.
