LeBron James married Savannah Brinson in San Diego Saturday, two people familiar with the details said, Yahoo! reported Sunday.
According to two people familiar with the ceremony details, LeBron James married longtime Girlfriend at a posh Grand Del Mar Hotel in San Diego on Saturday.
About 200 guests joined the ceremony, and reports said that their phones had been taken away to ensure that no photos or details on the ceremony, which was said to be the highlight of a three-day celebration, leaked out.
"A first-class affair," a guest, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity, said Sunday, adding that the "ceremony was short and sweet."
An insider shared that many members of the Heat organization attended the wedding including: Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, coach Erick Spoelstra, managing general partner Micky Arison, and LeBron's manager Maverick Carter.
Huffington Post reported that Wade and girlfriend Gabrielle Union even posted images of themselves dressed for the ceremony on social media. Bosh and his wife Adrienne reportedly did the same.
"What a wonderful evening!!" Adrienne posted on Twitter. "Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. James...Thanks for sharing Ur night & love with us"
According to Yahoo!, intense security measures were imposed during the wedding such that even some of the invited guests were unclear on specific details days before the ceremony, which came less than three months after James and the Heat won their second straight NBA title.
Brinson reportedly spoke with AP about the wedding last spring, saying that she was both excited and nervous.
Meanwhile, LeBron James discussed the wedding in general terms, he was quoted once for describing his role as only to ensure "that Savannah gets whatever she wants on her day, the wedding day she always dreamed of."
James and Brinson have been together since they were in high school and they now have to sons. The 28-year-old NBA player proposed to his 27-year-old girlfriend just after midnight on Jan. 1, 2012 in Miami beach.
LeBron James, a four-time NBA Most valuable Player, and the Heat will open training camp next month. They beat the San Diego Spurs in June in seven games to capture the championship. James is expected to address reporters on the Heat's annual media day on Sept. 30.
